Doctor Visit
Well... After a month of pain in my right lower calf I decided to go to see my Sport Doctor in Cos Cob.
He said is not Your Aquiles Tendon or a calf pull at all is something else. It’s a micro tear deep in the muscle, a spasm forms around the torn muscle but the process takes longer than you usually think several weeks at least. When you start back too soon, you’re simply re-injuring yourself.
Stay off it for as long as it takes to heal completely. I recommend at least three more weeks before any run.
Just Frustrated.... Why do I miss running so much?
I played Pro Soccer for 10 Years. Race Motorcycles for 11 years, 14 broken bones, Two concussions, two surgeries and a shoulder that's dislocates every time I sniffs.
But not being able to run really bothers me.

thanks for your visit, I wish I could say the 3 weeks will pass quickly when you are a runner 3 weeks seems like a life time.
Maybe the eliptical will help these next few weeks? Thats the only thing I would replace running with if I ever had to.
hang in there
wow --a muscle tear deep in your calf --no wonder you were in so much pain, and got set back every time you ran.
Glad that you are back running again.
When I had hip tendonitis I went to Dr. Scwhartz in cos cob (Plancher) and they were helpful, so thank goodness you went and got to the root of the problem...
racing season is coming up:)
