This Weekend....

I decided to run the Cook your buns and LightFootrunners races . Was my first time for Cook Your buns and I have to say what a great race! Laid back,no pressure , I was at the Start and dint know which way We were going :)... Mickey does a great job. My Wife was there with my sons Nicolas and Noah (3 months old). We had a very good time before and after the race. Also talked to UltraBrit(Kate) for a little She always makes fun of me about how many miles we are running.
The Light Foot race was a good race for me. Half mile into the race I looked at my watch and I was doing 6.30 pace which is a little fast but I was able to keep a 7:30 pace steady for all 3 miles, which for me is a big +. UltraBrit was there and We talked for a while and She took some pictures, also talked to Frank after the race he was proud and happy about his daughter finish the race under 30 minutes and won her class.
Roy made fun of my red Nike shoes while he was passing me by mile Two.
I don't blame him. Opps I hope the Wife don't read this. She got them for me:D
Love You Honey. Great Shoes !! Didn't have them on white Haa?

5K or 5 Miles

Woke up at 8:15 am on Sunday and I decided to run AWL Rowayton race.
I didn't read the description on the website so I headed straight to the School on Highland Ave and of course no one was there. After I check my Phone I realized the race was just down the street at the Civic.
Got there with 5 minutes to spare. We stared the race (only 39 people) going downhill and it was a good warm-up and then it hit me. Is this a 5 k or 5 miles. Well... I'll ask the next one that gets by me. Excuse me... is this?..... Hello... Ms... Hello, aaaand she's gone. Yep that was UltraBrit
She kicked my a$$ AGAIN! but that's OK I'll get her next time. ( I Think I said that once before).
Anyway... it was a 5K. Good race, good course and very organized. Jim does an Excellent job.

Greenwich Biathlon

I decided to torture my self with a little Run-Bike-Run since I haven't been on my bike for months. I got there a little late so I only had time to sign up and get my bike ready, was not sure what to do or what shorts and shirts to use (running or bike) I did noticed almost every one were wearing bike shorts so I did a fast change right on the parking lot.The first 2.5 mile was a nice warm up just around Greenwich Point Park and then on to the bike for 10 miles. I was fine until mile 7 but some where around Old Greenwich there was this 1/2 mile hill that almost kill me, took every little bit off me not to walk that hill, once I was over the hill I noticed my water bottle was gone and I was filling a little dizzy so I slowed down and finish it. Back to another 2.5 mile run which I was able to pass a lot people and finish at 1:12Was hard and painful but also a lot of fun. I'll do it again! Since this race was at 7:00 am and I was done by 8:30 I decided to run Law Day Race (Darien) was schedule at 10:00 am . After the race I meet Roy, Rob and the winner of the race Morgan. I had a long talk with Roy about running and other things, his camera went dead so We took some pictures with my phone. Was nice talking to him.And back home for some diapers changing and bottles. :)
