Equinox Race

When Jim said this race it's a hilly one. He was not joking.
It was a tough race for me, my heart rate was all over the place (Garmin) and I was a little concern about my right calf. I'm still sore .
I started out at a good Pace (for me) 7:52 first mile and 8:03 the second but mile three and four were just like somebody beat me with a frying pan I was dead. "Turtleback Hill"
And then was UltraBrit breathing all over my neck, completely in control of the race and just waiting for the right moment to make the pass, and she did at mile four. After that I did my best to stay with her but she was to quick for me. But I did run the last mile at 7:37. I'll get Her next time... (maybe):)
Over all it was a great race.

Great report! I was wondering what all that beeping was about on your Garmin. Sorry about breathing down your neck! ;o) I can't say that I was completely in control of the race. The reason I took so long to pass you was because I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to maintain and you'd pass me right back. I think you ran really well coming off the injury and considering you asked me if the race was 4 miles or 5!

I think that was a challenge. Bring it on! :o)
