NYRR Run for the parks

I signed up for this race before I got injured back in January. Sat night I was thinking and doing it.( My calf is much better but still not 100%) I'm glad I did. Woke up 5:45 and I drove to NY City Central Park. But trying to park a Double cap Toyota Tacoma in the city is just a pain. Parking garage charge $40.00 for 2 hrs of parking.( Isn't just a Rip Off?) It was 7:15 and still no parking space around. I Finally parked on 3Th ave and 76 st. From there ran back to pick up my number, quick stop at restroom and to the Start with 2 minutes to spare.
Lots of vendors, loud music and people every where.
There is not much to say about my race, 8:07 pace/mile for a 32:28 Finish Time, a lot of huffing and puffing but it was all good . Been this was a marathon qualifier race, good weather and I was done and driving back home by 9:00 am,it was all worth it.

nice job. Thats the only thing I hate about central park, finding park. but if you get there early its no problem, though

Nice race, Running CT --glad you are back. I didn't see you at the 8K, because don't know you yet-haha.
It is a pain to park in NYC --I use a parking garage on 90th between 3nd and second on Sat-only $13. Sounds like a good race for you as a comeback from injury.
Glad your sister-in-law started running! we all start with 2 or 3 miles and it is a big accomplishment!
