Was a great turn out more than 11.000 people. I felt good all week so I was thinking on trying a little harder on this race but was crowed and I had a hard time passing slow runners and Kidd's. I did want run it under 30 minutes but felt short. NYRR results shows 31.19 for 7.49 pace. Garmin was a little better, 31.18 - 4.18 miles at 7.29. Who do I believe?
Any way, is one more race under my belt for NYM next year. I'll be doing NYRR Mother's Race with my Wife and Sister and Brooklyn 1/2 marathon. See You there.

nice job its tough running when you have so many participants in central park. I remember one year I felt I added a whole mile to the marathon because of weaving in and out of people according to my garmin I did. and I'm one of the slow ones :)
surprise you're not doing the mothers day 10K here
6000 of them were there just for the walk, which it was schedule 20 minutes after the main race.
But their were all over the places and pack of 10 and 20 at the time, that's why was hard to get around them.
And you are not that slow! :)
My wife wants to spend the day (May 10) in Central Park with the Kidd's and the dogs. What can I say?
beutiful way to spend mothers day
enjoy
mother's day in central park will be great!! Will your wife run the race, so soon after giving birth or just watch her sister? I wish that I could run the mother's day 4 miler in the park or Norwalk 10K but have to help with the Greenwich may 10 bike ride for kids!! It'll be fun. I plan to do the Brooklyn 1/2!! that'll be interesting. These nyrrc races are getting big indeed.
